With wildly cold winter weather on the horizon, the Cherokee County Commissioners recently put plans in place to keep the courthouse warm. “We’ve got a lot of issues with the boilers, to the point that this is probably their last season,” Commissioner Cory Moates said.

Brassart will share courthouse employees

Under the direction of newly elected County Clerk Rebecca Brassart, the County Clerk’s Office has asked Register of Deeds employee Vickie Hess to work part time between both offices. “She’s definitely a very good addition to our team,” Brassart said. “I’m excited to have her.
