Awards presented at 4-H ceremony

Awards were presented Saturday morning to three supporters of the Cherokee County 4-H program in addition to club leaders and 4-H’ers during the 4-H Council awards ceremony. This year’s outstanding senior 4-H’er award was presented to Jade Ohmart.

Commission certifies election tabulations

The election results from the latest local municipalities and school boards were certified Monday by the County Commission. Write-in candidates filled 12 positions following the canvass of the November 2, municipal and School elections.

K7 closed today

The South Kansas & Oklahoma (SKOL) Railroad will close and repair its crossing on K-7 between K-103 and U.S. 400 on Wednesday, Nov. 17. The daylong closure is expected to begin at 8 a.m. and continue until 5 p.m. K-7 will be closed to traffic at the work zone.
