Bettie L. Draeger, 89, of Carthage, Mo., formerly of Chetopa, died at 5:03 a.m., Monday, August 16, 2021, at the St. Luke’s Care Center, in Carthage, Mo. Born June 25, 1932, at her family home in rural Chetopa, Bettie Lou was the daughter of James Andrew and Lulu Mae (Mayfield) Sexton.

Arnold Sullivan Yukon, Okla.

Arnold Tim Sullivan, 75, of Yukon, Okla., died unexpectedly at his home August 15, 2021. Tim was born in Hallowell, August 8 1946. He was the son of Ella and Emmett Sullivan, Sr. They preceded him in death. Tim was a graduate of Cherokee County Rural High School with the 1964.

Barbara May (Wheeler) Mishler, 85, of Baxter Springs, died Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Star Living Home Plus in Lawrence. Barbara was the only child to Glenna D. (McCorkle) of Waco, Mo. and John N. Wheeler of Baxter Springs. Barbara attended grade school in California.

Carmen Leann Pyle, 58, of Baxter Springs, died Friday, August 13, 2021 of complications from a sudden illness at Freeman Hospital, in Joplin, Mo. Born March 20, 1963 in Joplin, Mo., Carmen was the daughter of Charles William Pyle and Carolyn Gallagher (Pyle) Pendleton.

Terri Lynne McCool, 63, of Galena died at 8:17 a.m. Tuesday, August 10, 2021 following an illness. Born November 8, 1957, in Joplin, Mo., Terri was the daughter of Billy Gene and Barbara Rae (Wilkerson) Kent. She was a lifetime resident of Galena.

Robin Renae McLean, 54, of Joplin, Mo., died Friday, August 13, 2021 at Mercy of Joplin after a sudden illness. Born August 31, 1966, in Joplin, Mo., Robin was the daughter of the LeEtta Janice (Hall) Bird and Virgel O. Bird, Sr. of Chetopa.

Shirley Anne Corn, 85, of Frontenac, died Sunday, August 15, 2021 at her home. Born March 28, 1936 in Corona, Shirley was the daughter of Louis and Josephine (Crespino) Caputo. She was a high school graduate from West Mineral High School. She was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church.

Delbert Longan, 83, of Lowell, formerly of Quapaw, Okla. died at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. at 4:33 a.m., Sunday, August 15, 2021, following an illness. Born June 21, 1938, Delbert was the son of Marshal and Bertie (Bearden) Longan.

Christopher Olds, 30, Joplin, Mo.

Christopher David Olds, 30, of Joplin, Mo., died at 12:05 p.m., Saturday, August 14, 2021 at his home following an illness. Born April 17, 1991 in Joplin, Mo. Christopher was the son of Duane Lee Olds and Kimberley D (Foster) Olds. He had lived in Joplin most of his life.

Harold Hayden, Owasso, Okla.

Harold E. Hayden, 87, of Owasso, Okla., died , August 10, 2021. Born August 4, 1934 in Commerce, Harold was the son of Lucille and Charles Hayden. Harold lived his early life in Kansas and graduated from West Mineral High School before moving to Oklahoma to raise a family.
