Weda Jane Donham, 83, Galena died at 2:54 pm, Wednesday, November 8, 2023, at her home. Born March 13, 1940, in Galena Weda was the daughter of George Leroy and Nellie (Shira) Lake. She was a lifetime resident of Galena. She graduated from Galena High School with the class of 1959.

Charles Wahpepah, Quapaw, Okla.

Charles “Chuck” Buddy Wahpepah, 68, Quapaw, Okla. died Saturday, November 4, 2023 at Integris Miami Hospital in Miami, Okla.. Born September 22, 1955 in Pawnee, Okla. Chuck was the son of Billy Joe and Monta Lee (Rogers) Wahpepah. He lived in Quapaw most of his life and served in the U.S. Army.

Lois Purcell, 90, Webb City, Mo.

Lois Jane Purcell, 90, Webb City, Mo., a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, died November 3, 2023 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Born November 23, 1932, in Zincville, Okla., Lois was the daughter of Eli and Jewell (Young) Davis.

Robert Brumback, 63, Riverton

Robert D. Brumback, 63, of Riverton died October 31, 2023. Born June 3, 1960 he was the son of Robert L. Brumback and Edith J. Brumback of Columbus. He attended Columbus High School graduating with the Class of 1978. After graduating Robert enlisted in the United States Army.

James O’Neal III, 49, Miami, Okla.

James Harvey “Jimmy” O’Neal, III , known by his friends as “Skinny” died Thursday, November 2, 2023 at his home. He was 49. Born January 24, 1974 in Miami, Okla. James was the son of James Harvey and Georgia Ruth (Whitecotton) O’Neal, II. He had lived in Miami most of his life.

Verl R. Brownewell, 70, of rural Mound Valley, died Thursday, November 2, 2023, at his home. Born March 26, 1953, in Oswego, Verl was the son of Earl and Fayrene (Bircher) Brownewell. He grew up and attended school in the Mound Valley area, graduating from Labette County High School in 1971.

Judy Eileen Klodt, 78, of Pittsburg, died at 10:45 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023, at Stratford Commons in Overland Park after a long struggle with cancer.

Marjorie Rae (Houser) Henderson

Marjorie Rae (Houser) Henderson, 93, of Columbus, died October 25, 2023 at Grand Villas where she resided for eight months. Born January 26, 1930, in Columbus, Marjorie was the daughter of Glenn and Rosa (Puttkamer) Houser. She was the sixth of twelve children. They preceded her in death.
